This is the first mission in the Red Flag campaign for the AJS-37 Viggen. The AJS-37 Viggen is a fast ground attack fighter designed to attack targets from low altitude in quick passes at high speed. The Viggen is capable of outrunning most threats on the deck when in full afterburner 3. The Viggen has some unique flying features such as canard elevators and reverse thrust. Taxiing in reverse is rather entertaining in this aircraft, but it is imperative not to hit the brakes. At any rate, after flying this aircraft online in a few sorties, I decided to buy the Red Flag campaign for additional practice with this aircraft. I am most impressed with the Viggen's ground attack capabilities and fast startup.
In this first mission, my only task is to land at Nellis AFB Nevada in preparation for Red Flag exercises.
