Scout suggested playstyle glossary below:

High level scouts in a good group will often try to only focus on HVT's and limit their time with the Horde and LST's. HVT's can kill your team quickly and being ready to bring them down with minimal team damage is important.

LST's are often slow and can be focused near the end of the fight after HVT's and most of the horde is cleared. Other classes are often better equipped and have more ammo to deal with LST's.

Horde targets can be cleared quickly and effeciently by the other classes and can be left or only focused when positioned when it is ammo effecient for you to kill them.

This is a very short suggested playstyle but not the only playstyle, your play group may differ so only take the above as a suggestion and something to ponder.

Glossary:

BP (Break Points) - Damage required to kill a tarket in one shot
Horde - Grunts, slashers, guards
HVT (High Value Target) - Enemies that can disrupt or kill quickly: Acid Spitter; Webber: Mactera Trijaw; Menace: Cave Leech.
LST (Large Single Target) Tank type enemies: Preatorian; Oppressor; Dreadnought
Stationary enemies: Spitball Infector; Brood Nexus
Fire ignition - Fire damage required to set a target on fire so it takes fire dame over time
Fire spread - When targets on fire cause enough heat damage to near targets to set them on fire
