Devil May Cry 5 Gameplay - Mission 10 [1080p HD 60FPS] No Commentary By Starkamuy Gaming
A few cutscenes play, showing some of Dante's past. When you're able to pick up the controller and play, it's 1 month in the past - when Dante first entered Qliphoth with Lady and Trish. You can't customize Dante just yet - you can only purchase items. So buy what you'd like if you're lacking in Gold Orbs, for example, but otherwise, start the mission.
The following will work as a sort of tutorial on how to use Dante, so pay attention to the text prompts. Press 'LT to change long-range weapons and RT to change close-range weapons. You'll then learn how to change between Dante's four styles:
T: Trickster - Used to evade and move quickly.
S: Swordmaster - The best style to use with the sword, and easier to get a handle on compared to the others.
R: Royal Guard - A defensive style used to guard and counter enemy attacks.
G: Gunslinger - Best for long-ranged attacks with guns, like Ebony and Ivor, and Coyote-A.
Depending on which style you're using, you'll use a different action with B/Circle.
The first fight should be fairly easy. Just take down the green, flying Empusa first - they'll heal. Up ahead, you'll get closed in to an area for another fight, and will learn about Dante's Devil Trigger. Use Devil Trigger with LB/L1 to transform into a demonic form, boosting attack, defense, and speed while slowly recovering health. Use this to transform as often as possible in the battle, and do so for other battles in the future.
Continue ahead after defeating the enemies here, and look to the left after the tunnel to activate a Divinity Statue.
Make sure to take this opportunity to customize Dante. See Best Skills to Unlock First for some advice.
