Description:
I was given permission to LP Unknown Mode, but I wasn't given permission to share Unknown Mode's ldb file. This is an older work that doesn't reflect the current goals of the developer. While the game isn't on par with Sacred Earth - Promise, it's still pretty amazing for the age of its engine.
Gunnar and Veili Myrrine's father is ill, and only the extremely rare Adelpryd plant can cure him. The two venture into a mysterious fortress as they grasp for straws on the plant's location, but then discover a conspiracy by Alzilory Silvern and his crew of highly trained warriors.

0:00 Fire Stratum
The platforming puzzle is kind of glitchy and actually got my character stuck. Once the platforms are all in place, the glitch isn't a problem anymore. You'll then have to blast two floating stones, though the game lets you shoot them again for some reason despite having no effect. The door to the left of the platforming puzzle was never implemented, so unlike me, don't worry about it.
You'll notice some cracked walls, but you need to find the appropriate tool first.
9:37 Maron the Merchant?
This time, we get to talk to Maron and befriend them, though they don't reveal their gender. They seem to lack common knowledge and never seem to have left the tower. They will also sell consumable items to you while buying your monster drops. I recommend stockpiling Angel Feathers, since they can group heal both LF and EP.
The chest near them contains the drill needed to proceed.
15:21 Fire Stratum 2
Drill the crack you found and proceed with the rest of the puzzles. When you reach the library, read the books, don't don't go up the stairs until you're ready for a boss. Gunnar and Veili anger the librarian, Flann, by wanting to take some of her books home. We take library rules very seriously here!

You may want fire rings to survive, since Veili is weak to this element.
She has her own powerful finisher, which deals heavy AOE fire damage. Unfortunately, she can also do it twice in a row for some reason. After you beat her, she transforms into a dragon and summons some allies.
37:06 Flann Forgives Us
Flann realizes we don't really have malicious intent and allows us to read, but not take the books. One of the books, written by Razhell, states he accidentally made a dangerous ether being. We also learn that Razhell's garden is on the first floor and contains Adelpryd, but we don't have the key. The door to the next stratum, an ice area, is then unlocked. Unfortunately, Maron will temporarily stay at the library only, so if you want to resupply, you have to do so in there.
