Driver: San Francisco is a sandbox-style driving action game, developed by Ubisoft Reflections, and published by Ubisoft. Driver: San Francisco is the fifth game in the main video game series "Driver" and the first in the latest generation of consoles. San Francisco also marks the return, as creative director, of Martin Edmondson, [1] the creator of the series.

The game was officially unveiled at E3 2010 and released in North America on 6 September 2011 [5] [11] and in Europe on 2 September 2011, [6] [12] on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 platforms , Wii and the OnLive system, [13] [14] while the Windows version was released on 27 September [7] [8] and 30 September 2011 [9] in North America and Europe respectively.

A single player demo for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 was available on August 10, 2011 [15] and the online multiplayer demo on August 17, [16] [17] both for download via Xbox Live and PlayStation Network .

The game takes place after the events of Driv3r and tells the story of policeman John Tanner in his quest to capture the criminal Charles Jericho.
