Dying Light The Following Gameplay Review - Dying Light DLC Review - Dying Light Enhanced Edition

I will be honest I did put a good amount of hours into playing the original Dying Light game and I was impressed with the way the game played and the tons of stuff you can do in it. As I mentioned earlier As excited as I was for the DLC When Dying Light: The Following was announced, I was still a little sceptical that they might break the game but it seems that I was very wrong because this new expansion is maybe the best thing that has ever happened to Dying Light! Anyway peeps let get down to business and break down the DLC

I wont drop any major spoilers throughout the Dying Light The Following Gameplay Review but I will say that the story was really good in my opinion.

The Gameplay is maybe the best addition, as I said earlier is definitely the car that not only behaves as a tool to get around the map, it’s actually a wonderful weapon that allows you to plow through zombies as you see fit and with the utmost precision. You can also accumulate XP and create the car you want without any problem. It’s amazing how appealing this vehicle really is and the more you play the more exciting it will actually be because you can find new methods of killing zombies.
As you drive you can also drop bombs and landmines that deliver explosive moments and action packed fun that you will love for sure. Of course, you can also use your weapons and in fact in this expansion you will focus a lot more on them rather than in the main game, which is great for those that were tired of the melee system. Some new guns and a neat tactical crossbow are added in here and this gear, as well as the melee that still remains a vibrant part of the game makes the experience a ton of fun, and that’s what matters the most in the end.
The skill tree is nicely designed and it feels pretty much like something you can find in an RPG albeit a little simpler which is always a very good idea. Of course, you still need to focus on the crafting system and harness its true potential which might be a little hard and cumbersome to do at times but this does come with its own set of rewards and that’s what matters the most in the end. I like the fact that they require you to scavenge for components as such a thing always keeps you on your toes and playing Dying Light: The Following is a ton of fun because of that.
Even so, you still have limitations. Stuff like breakable weapons and combat stamina show you that things are limited and you have to manage them the best way you can. It might be hard to do such a thing at first but at the end of the day you will remind yourself that everything is a part of the challenge. The driving reminds you of Mad Max and that’s a great thing for sure. On top of that, the game went out of its way to actually deliver some great, exciting moments in the form of trial events and head to head sprints. These races are amazing to see in a zombie game and I actually feel that they are a very good distraction from the main focus and appeal of the story.
As you explore the game world you will find some additional stuff to do but I always felt that you need to focus mostly on the story. Even so, the distractions are there and you can tackle them as you want.
There are issues though and most of those are about the AI that is a little bad because zombies can’t really attack that well and most of the time they can’t walk around the minor obstacles. It’s a shame unfortunately to see such a thing but hopefully this type of bug can be solved soon.
It’s nice to see that bosses are very hard to defeat however because this does manage to add in quite a lot of challenge and that’s really exciting and fun all around. It’s amazing to see that the experience evolves in an amazing manner and the more you play the more addictive the game gets.

I liked Dying Light: The Following and I feel that they did a great job with evolving the game. Instead of giving more of the same, this expansion goes out of its way to innovate and seeing so much content is really nice because you have around 10 hours of gameplay, an amazing addition for sure. if you like zombie based games I feel that Dying Light: The Following or the Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition, which is the complete version of this game offers maybe the best possible gameplay that you have ever imagined. I loved how everything turns out here and rest assured that the gameplay is a ton of fun. Just try out Dying Light: The Following right now regardless if you liked the original or not, you will love it for sure! Anyway peeps do let me know your thoughts
