This video demonstrates how to segment traffic using EIGP Process IDs. The numbers 1 & 2 identify the particular EIGRP process running on the router. To establish communication with it's neighbors about adjacent routes it must be running the same process ID.

ISPs get assigned Autonomous System Numbers described in RFC 1930 by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) and its Regional Internet Registries (RIR), the same authority that assigns IP address space. Autonomous System Numbers are given out to ISPs so they can properly distribute BGP routing information to their neighbors.

Process IDs are used by institutions that fall under the control of an ISP. . .
