My Enhanced Game MIDI collection consists of MIDI files I sequenced and routed through my Yamaha Motif ES8 keyboard, utilising its rather nice-sounding General MIDI samples. The staff view was played with Cakewalk Express and the presentation was recorded with CamStudio. All instruments use the standard MIDI patches unless otherwise noted. To follow the notes in the sequence and to ensure the best sound quality, viewing full screen in 720p (HD) is strongly advised.

This is a two-part sequence of the "Hammer Bros. Battle" theme from Super Mario Bros. 3. The first part is based on the original composition from the NES installment. The second part is an enhancement of the remake heard in Super Mario All-Stars (SNES), which also features in Super Mario Advance 4 (GBA). In any version, this catchy tune can be heard when battling the Hammer Bros. or related enemies on the map. It also can be heard in the "Mario Bros." battle-for-control in 2-Player mode. This transcription was originally one of my oldest MIDIs, dating back to October of 1996.
