"Escape!" from Escape from Corridor XIII (Original Flash Game)
(((READ BEFORE RATING!)))
The music represented here is an example of some of the original compositions that I wrote for game design classes between 2006 and 2008, while assigned other duties for the related projects. Most songs for these projects were created in less than a day with little experience with the keyboard interface, so production is minimal.
Escape from Corridor XIII is a side-scrolling, futuristic action Flash game starring an anthropomorphic, spherical satellite named Orbie. The objective of the game is to lead Orbie through a dangerous path full of obstacles and enemies to the end of the level.
This trance/rave-like song is the main level theme: the only song I made for the project. The composition was my first attempt to utilise multiple pre-arranged rhythmic patterns on the Yamaha Motif ES8. As such, the drumlines are Yamaha stock, but all other elements are completely original.
