The story of Kit Simoes is one of triumph. A Venezuelan migrant now living in Peru, COVID--19 changed her life completely when its impacts hit home. But she took matters into her own hands, starting her own day spa businesses.

With the help of entrepreneurial training provided through the WOCCU Economic Inclusion Project's School of Dreamers, Kit learned how to better manage her time and her accounts. She also received seed capital to improve her facilities and services for clients.

Started in June 2020, the three-year Economic Inclusion Project, funded by USAID, aims to support 100,000 Venezuelan migrants and refugees in Peru and Ecuador achieve socio-economic security. Learn more at https://www.woccu.org/international_projects/current_projects/peru_ecuador
