So ahem. The king has Wing Phase and Ground phase, each with its own flavor of add. The fight begins in Wing phase, with those skeletons apparerenly hitting very hard. The King can shield himself with the adds and will apply a powerful defense buff.
After wraiths are dealt with, the King will cast off wings and summon Skeleton Archer wraiths, which have much less health but it seems they have the potential to combo with the King.

From what I suspect, these phases rotate until the King falls
