Fallout 4 Creation Kit | Generating Worldspace LOD
READ ALL BELOW BEFORE DOING THIS YOURSELF
This tutorial gives you step by step instructions on how to generate LOD for your Worldspace in Fallout 4. Also gives you an idea on PC requirements.
UPDATE:
It is no longer necessary to use Photoshop to convert the TGA file to DDS. So you can skip that entire part including the action creation and batch file exporting. Instead, go to your Fallout 4 directory then the folder Tools, then Elric, open Elrich.exe. It's pretty straightforward. Set an Output Directory and then hit Convert Files. It''ll ask for what files. Tell it the TGA ones under the Source folder as shown in video. Then hop on over to the output folder you specified and boom there it is. All your beautiful DDS files. Install by downloading the launcher at the top right of that page. Log in, and install the CK for Fallout 4 (the green one) from the sidebar. It may ask to unpack stuff, say yes.

ARCHIVING FOR UPLOAD TO BETHESDA.NET
You must add a lot of stuff to your archives to upload to Bethesda.Net for consoles. Add these folders:
----Note that you can only manually add 1,000 files at a time----
\Fallout 4\Data\LODSettings\YourWorldSpaceName.LOD
\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\Terrain\YourWorldSpaceName\All Files
\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\Terrain\YourWorldSpaceName\Objects\All Files
\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\Terrain\YourWorldSpaceName\Trees\All Files
----Note that the Trees folder can't be added for consoles----
\Fallout 4\Data\textures\Terrain\YourWorldSpaceName\All Files
\Fallout 4\Data\textures\Terrain\YourWorldSpaceName\Objects\All Files
Once you put everything in the archive, be sure to export the archive list before hand to save time for the future!
NEVER save after generating LOD, close the CK. NEVER say yes to Truncating the .ESP.
