Far Cry Blood Dragon takes place in the year 2007, when sargent Colt Rex is sent on a dangerous mission to save mankind. The game is heavily inspired by 80's pop-cut lure and b-movies of the era accompanied by retro-visuals and cheesy one liners.

Blood Dragon was released as a standalone game - a full conversion DLC for the Far Cry 3 at the time.
