For many families with a loved one on operations in Afghanistan that means separation on a special day. But for one military family, both father and son are serving in Helmand at the same time. Trooper Ruraidh Watson has been in Helmand since April, serving with the Warthog Group. He spends much of his time out on the ground, supporting operations. His father WO1 Hedley Watson is also serving in Helmand but is based at Camp Bastion. He's responsible for the quality control and engineering standards at Bastion's airfield. It was quite a surprise that their deployments overlapped.
