0No longer reliant on vehicles. Resume field search 7-1. Walked the distance on foot with no issues except for kindly park rangers wondering if I need water. Explained in detail my search for Kenny Veach. I'll be a very frequent fixture in the area in the weeks to come. It is not usual seeing persons walking from the visitor center and running amok. Hope the pack can support the water weight without breaking straps.
