With this stage, Frederick and Chrom are both now playable. Chrom you may recognize as having the same moveset as Lucinia. Frederick has a unique moveset, for the most part. The generic Great Knights use his moveset as well, but no other playable characters do.

Chrom is fairly standard to play as, but his weapon comes with a dragon killing bonus. Weapon effectiveness in this game is absurd so that usually lets him two shot Wyvern Riders and the like. However, we don't fight many of those for a while.

Frederick is actually one of my favorite movesets in the game. He uses his axe to scoop up enemies and toss them around, not dissimilar to Xu Huang's DW8 moveset. Imagine Xu Huang but glued to a horse at all times. It's pretty fun.

Frederick has a weakness to mages, due to being a knight and having shit Resistance. The game will actually advise you not to fight them as him because of that. He can power through it, but you'll see this be much more punishing when you start playing as a flying unit and run into archers. They can kill you in 1-2 hits. And yes, I do mean the peons.

This stage introduces more Awakening characters, like Cordelia and Validar, an antagonist from the game. He's very forgettable so I actually thought he was a unique enemy for this game at first.
