They call this chapter 2 even though the previous stage was a prologue... Whatever.

We saw Not Marth (AKA Lucinia) in the last chapter, and now we get even more Awakening characters to show up. We get to play as Lissa and fight Chrom and Frederick, because they realized they're in a Warriors game and everything has to be settled with thousands dying on the battlefield, even just testing someone.

Lissa is an oddity in this game, she actually has a unique moveset. She has a mix of axe swings and magic attacks, which are honestly pretty effective. Although effectiveness in this game is largely dependent on the situation due to the Weapon Triangle system that was taken from normal FE.

Sword beats Axe, Axe beats Lance, Lance beats Sword.

Simple enough, though there's a few other weapons to be thrown into the mix, that's the primary triangle you'll be dealing with. In this game it translates as enemies having resistance to what their strong against and weakness to what their weak against. Both sides of this are pretty extreme, so you really want to use appropriate characters for appropriate enemies.

The real problem with this is that every character is weapon locked. In normal FE, most classes will have multiple weapons available to them to give some form of Weapon Triangle control. You don't have that option here, even for someone like Frederick that should have access to all 3 main weapon types. So if you want to have advantage on enemies, you have to constantly be moving all your characters around the battlefield, which is just time consuming. And also, the game's AI can be REALLY bad at following directions at times.

You'll also notice that Owain appears in this stage as an ally. Despite appearing in the story, he's actually not playable by default. I'll be playing as him later, but only because I bought the DLC. Massive waste of money btw, don't do it. Most of the DLC characters have cloned or partially cloned movesets. Owain is no exception, sharing his core moveset with Ryoma. That's why later you'll see Owain use a lightning attack, which only makes sense for Ryoma to use because he has a lightning sword.
