On this episode of First Impressions, I've snagged an early key for a preview build of the upcoming Daymare: 1998, a heavily Resident Evil inspired game that initially started as a fan remake of Resident Evil 2. We join mouthy H.A.D.E.S. operative Liev as he is dropped off at the Aegis facility, in order to obtain by any means the chemical weapons they're working on. However, an outbreak at the facility leaves it mostly full of corpses. Unsurprisingly, the chemical weapon that began as a Japanese retaliation weapon for the nuclear bombings happens to turn dead people into walking dead people.
