FIXED: Week Long Duration Vaal Lightning Strike Underflow Bug Emergency Patched - Path of Exile POE

I discussed the mechanics behind this bug in a previous video, just wanted to clarify that it is 100% gone now.
Honestly, props to GGG for fixing this issue promptly. This was a serious threat to server stability if its use was widespread (even without intentional misuse to cheat by forcing crashes and rollbacks)

Basically, computers treat numbers under 0 weirdly. POE often considers -1 to be 'the same number' as 4294967295 (2^32 -1).
So if you can make your Vaal Lightning Strike duration "-1% of base duration", the game appears to interpret that as "4294967295% of base duration".
Assuming no more multipliers, that's about eight years. In practice it means "until the next server downtime"
Key pieces: 2x -20% Timeclasp; Window of Opportunity (-15% duration), small nodes leading to Window (-10%)... and then an amulet from the 'Gifts of the Red Queen' strongbox (15-25% increased duration baseline for vaal skills) which requires a specific sextant and Mortal fragments to be added to maps that is then fed to the Ethereal Reflecting Mist (and the negative copy is taken for -36% duration or lower).
This is basically certain to get an emergency nerf, probably Monday NZ time, as it causes server instability when misused - this is bad for players in general, but MUCH worse when used to force rollbacks to exploit RNG crafting methods.
