People rummaging around in the world of auto-generated images co-opted the word "artist" as if it applies to them. Maybe to some degree, some who actually frame, design, ethically source, and compensate the material they use for it. Then sure, they can use that word.

We aren't there with the other crowd, the one's who fight tooth and nail for the right to steal artwork from hardworking real human artists are the problem. There's no reason to call them artists because they are bottom of the barrel. People like Emad of Stability_AI and the ones involved in the ever-looming problem of unethical datasets to try and replicate styles, claiming that the human brain and the ridiculous software involved are somehow alike?

No. That is where we arrive here. The "artist" pointing a gun at the head of a computer unaware of itself with no feelings, perspective, emotions, experiences, or style that generally make up the absolute definition of a true artist. This "artist" expects perfection but is too lazy and unimaginative to try and make the art themselves; to do the legitimate work of painstaking detail and give the finished work a soul. They will gaslight that this is their calling just as much as anyone else's, but then pirate, copy, steal, and pilfer real works calling real artists elitists, gatekeepers, and ableists when they themselves are the ones at fault.

They are looking for the quick money, generating garbage out of masterpieces. That is their directive and they plan to make it future, using phrases like "adapt or die."

How ironic.

This will not be an nft; It is not an auto-generated image("ai art" as it is egregiously called).
