Forza Motorsport 7: 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Nordschleife Hotlap | Xbox One X
With Sir Stirling Moss recently celebrating his 90th birthday, xo0OMattyO0ox had to commemorate one of the greatest drivers of all time by returning to the Xbox One X enhanced Forza Motorsport 7 for a hotlap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Stirling's 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 Sport Leicht-Rennen (SLR).
Although the 1955 World Sportscar Championship didn't visit the Nurburgring, this legendary machine needed a legendary track on which to stretch it's legs. Sir Stirling drove this car to three victories throughout the 1955 season, the Mille Miglia, the RAC Tourist Trophy at Dundrod and the Targa Florio, being instrumental in Mercedes-Benz securing the title. Although the SLR's racing record was overshadowed by it's involvement in the 1955 Le Mans disaster, which claimed the lives of over 80 spectators and Mercedes driver Pierre Levegh and ended Mercedes-Benz involvement in motorsport until 1989, it unquestionably remains a revolutionary machine that helped Sir Stirling deliver some of his greatest drives.
