Upscalers aren't talked about enough, but they are extremely important to revive older hardware or play at higher resolutions. Intel's XESS us relatively new on the scene and it has to compete against AMD's FSR and Nvidia's DLSS. FSR is open-source, which means it's available on almost every GPU, while DLSS is locked to newer Nvidia GPUs. DLSS is typically seen as the best Upscaler overall, but what if you don't have Nvidia?
