The long-awaited Bodenplatte update is here! IL-2 has been updated to version 3.201 which includes a new pilot physiology model, increased visual distance, three new flyable planes, and the AI B-25.
The new update has caused a significant shift in flyers from the Axis to the Allies side. This is understandable given that many people want to try out the new planes, and, in some respects, the new planes are superior to the German ones. The Allies finally have fighters that can keep pace with the Luftwaffe. At any rate, since the teams have been largely unbalanced over the weekend, I took to flying the Axis fighters.
In this mission, Switch201 and myself fly a coordinated attack on an Allied Factory in FW190A8s with 500kg bombs. I decided to take the 30mm cannons on the wings just for fun, and I got the opportunity to use them against a Tempest that was shooting at Switch. I hope you enjoy the video!
