Carving out an elevated area on the eastern part of the map, and then going around building a few bridges to connect different areas. I like verticality in map design, in case you haven't noticed, although I don't think I'm particularly good at it quite yet :/

Also on the subject of optimization, I actually cleaned up quite a few things that should help the game run more smoothly but unfortunately the strain that recording puts on my computer doesn't really allow that to be reflected in the video D:
