About Glowecestre:
Glowecestre is the Old English spelling of Gloucester. Currently, it is a cathedral city and the county seat of Gloucestershire in the South West of England. This local government district of Gloucestershire, England lies on the river Severn, near the border with Wales.
The etymology of Glowecestre is reportedly from the Latin Glēvum (name of the Roman fort) and Old English ceaster (site of a Roman fort).
Glowecestre was founded by the Romans and became an important city and colony in 97 AD under Emperor Nerva as Colonia Glevum Nervensis (aka Glevum). Withdrawal of all Roman forces and many societal leaders in about the year 410 may have allowed leading families of the Dobunni tribe to regain power within the now Roman-influenced, interconnected and intermixed Celtic Brythonic local people. It eventually is shown as part of Wessex in 577. At some point afterwards, Glowecestre was part of the minor kingdom of the Hwicce. In 628, that kingdom became a client or sub-kingdom of Mercia. From about 780, the Hwicce became part of Mercia. Mercia, allied by matrimony and sharing a desire to counter the Danish onslaught as had conquered swathes of the wider island at large, submitted to Alfred the Great's Kingdom of Wessex in about 877–883.

About the game:
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series, and a successor to the 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Principally set in the years 872–878 AD, the game recounts a fictional story during the Viking invasion of Britain. The player controls Eivor, a Viking raider who becomes embroiled in the conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order.
Explorable cities include Winchester, London, and York. Parts of Norway and Vinland are also included, while dreamscapes of Asgard and Jotunheim also feature.
