Welcome to Episode 16 of our brand-new series, Halo Infinite Versus; a first of its kind for the channel!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If this is the first you've heard of a "versus," here's the gist of it:

GamingMagic13 and GroupUnicorn71 are playing through Halo Infinite in a race to see who can beat it 100% first, with both of our footage visible alongside a live scoreboard so you can see who's in the lead!

In order to 100% the game, we must:

-Complete all 15 Main Story Missions
-Take back all 7 Banished Outposts
-Reclaim all 12 Forward Operating Bases
-Rescue all 20 Marine Squads
-Destroy all 40 Propaganda Towers
-Eliminate all 15 High Value Targets
-Find all 37 UNSC Audio Logs
-Find all 28 Banished Audio Logs
-Find all 39 Spartan Audio Logs
-Acquire all 45 Spartan Cores
-Open all 34 Armor Lockers
-Scan all 7 Forerunner Archives
-Collect all 12 Skulls

Trevor is playing on the Xbox Series X, and Neil is playing on the Xbox Series S. This may affect the graphical fidelity of our recordings, but it won't affect the versus as the load times are identical on both consoles.

RULES:

1. There is no specific order we must complete objectives in. We can wait to fight the Harbinger until we've done everything else, or we can do the main story first and mop up collectibles afterward. There are no requirements except to finish the game to 100%
2. No skipping cutscenes. Mainly just because I want to watch them, and so long as we're both consistent about it their duration will not affect our playthroughs
3. Speedrunning/out of bound glitches and boss exploits - such as the Jega 'Rdomnai coil stacking - are not allowed.
4. Skipping encounters is frowned upon. If we miss 1 or 2 grunts in an area it's not the end of the world, the idea is that we don't want to be running through encounters and not fighting anything. That's lame
5. Only noteworthy exception to Rule #4 is the Sentinel Room in Silent Auditorium because the skull is predicated on not killing any Sentinels, and sometimes they can get caught in enemy explosions beyond your control.
6. Since some of the skulls and audio logs are missable if you don't get them on the first try, using a guide to ensure you don't miss anything is totally allowed. Just try not to use it as a crutch in the open world.

Halo Infinite is a 2021 first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the eighth main entry in the Halo series, and the third in the "reclaimer saga" following 2015's Halo 5: Guardians. The campaign follows the human supersoldier Master Chief and his fight against the enemy Banished on the Forerunner ringworld Zeta Halo.

Infinite was planned to be released as a launch title with the Xbox Series X/S on November 10, 2020, but was delayed in August 2020. It was eventually released on December 8, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Halo Infinite's multiplayer component has been in open beta since November 15, 2021, which was to commemorate the franchise and Xbox's 20th anniversary. The game received generally favorable reviews.

The title's campaign mode features a semi-open world structure; players can freely explore parts of the setting, the ringworld Zeta Halo, which are segmented off from each other and initially impassable. There are also more linear environments within the ring's surface. Scattered throughout the environment are Forward Operating Bases, which can be cleared of enemies and captured. Captured bases serve as fast-travel points and earn the player Valor, which is used to call in new weapons and vehicles.
