How a Space Marine is CREATED in a Step by Step Process (Full Video clips)
207The journey to becoming a Space Marine begins with selecting the toughest and most capable humans. Candidates are often drawn from Death Worlds and Feral Worlds, where survival breeds resilience and physical strength.
The Prospective recruits must meet strict biological criteria in order to be considered capable. The Space marine chapters only choose Candidates that are typically pre-adolescent, as the necessary implants cannot normally integrate with mature bodies, although there have been many instances where this is contradicted, especially with the pre heresy lore.
From the outset, recruits endure relentless physical challenges designed to push their limits. They engage in brutal hand-to-hand combat training to master close-quarters warfare, alongside extensive practice with bolt weapons, flamers, and plasma guns to ensure proficiency in ranged combat.
The first stage of the geneseed implantation process begins when recruits are between 10 and 12 years old, encompassing Phases 1 to 3. Phase 1 introduces the Secondary Heart, which acts as a backup to the primary heart, enhancing survivability and aiding in low-oxygen environments.
The second stage of implantation occurs between the ages of 12 and 14, encompassing Phases 4 to 6.
The training keeps on going with endless drills in tactics and strategies, heavily influenced by the wisdom of the Codex Astartes. Aspirants are taught to master all forms of combat, from hand-to-hand to ranged warfare.
Chemical treatment: This is another crucial part of the journey. Constant tests and examinations ensure that their new implants are functioning properly and that their bodies are adapting as they should. If anything is off—whether it's hormone levels or organ development—it’s corrected through a rigorous regimen of drugs and treatments.
Mental conditioning and Indoctrination: Finally, there’s indoctrination, the mental reshaping that turns an aspirant into a Space Marine. This goes beyond simple loyalty. Their minds are sharpened to an extraordinary degree, granting them control over their senses and nervous systems that’s far beyond anything a normal human could manage.
The final Geneseed Impants: The last stages of a Space Marine’s transformation are introduced gradually, typically between the ages of 14 and 16, and represent some of the most advanced and extraordinary geneseed enhancements in the process.
Phases 10 through 13 bring even more remarkable organs.
Finally, Phases 14 to 18 introduce the Belisarian Furnace , the bethcer’s gland, the mucranoid, Neuroglottis and the progenoids.
Once recruits have received most of their implants and completed the basics of their training, they take their first real step into the Chapter by becoming Scouts and here they operate with the chapter in the 10th company but not yet as fully fledged battl brohers.
When they’ve completed their training and gained enough battle experience while being in the scout company, the 10th company for most Codex compliant chapters, they would then receive their Black Carapace. With it, which is the final geneseed organ, the Scouts can finally don the power armour which needs the black carapace in order to synchronize the armor and the body.
