Something that people don't really think about when trying to mine cryptocurrency is how loud it can get. Here are some hard numbers. At 100%, the fans make 67 dB of noise at a distance of 1 inch, and the whine of the fans is about 52 dB throughout the room. However, if you keep your fans on "auto", it's about 54 dB at 1 inch, and barely even audible throughout the rest of the room. I like to keep my fans at maximum power in order to keep my cards as cool as possible.
