We are well aware of mods in the modern day, but do you know how much mods played an effect to keeping Minecraft thriving to this day? Without mods, Minecraft very well could be dying or dead in the current day. Minecraft mods are made by the community, we know this. But without this community, Minecraft would only be surviving off updates. Updates don't happen often (they do now) so we are always waiting for the updates to be released.

Community mods, however, are made more frequently and give more variety in what to add to Minecraft. Performance mods, redstone mods, world generation, and so much more. Mods really are the bulk of Minecraft, and it's proven on YouTube. Without mods, there wouldn't be nearly as many Minecraft YouTube videos as there are today.
