If you’ve forgotten your iCloud password, which is the same as your Apple ID password, you can still reset it directly from your iPhone as long as you’re logged into the account and have access to your device’s passcode or trusted phone number. This method helps you quickly regain access to your Apple services without needing the current password.

To start, open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap your Apple ID profile at the top. From the next screen, select Sign-In and Security. Tap on the Change Password option.

If you’re currently signed in, your iPhone will prompt you to enter your device passcode or verify using Face ID or Touch ID. After successful verification, you’ll be taken to the password reset screen. Here, enter your new iCloud password and retype it for confirmation, then tap Change or Continue.

In some cases, if your device asks for the current password and you don’t remember it, tap on the Forgot Password link. You’ll be asked to enter your trusted phone number associated with your Apple ID. After entering the number, tap Continue and enter the verification code sent to you. Once verified, you can reset your iCloud password without needing the old one.

After resetting your password, it will apply across all Apple services linked to your Apple ID, such as iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and the App Store.
