If you have multiple scopes you can put them under a single super scope which can be useful for several reasons. Redundancy, and load balancing are two reasons. Say you have two DHCP servers leasing out the same IP ranges under a single super scope. If one goes down the other can still lease out the same IP address ranges. If both DHCP servers are up then your superscope will effectively load balance DHCP traffic between the two servers. . .
