How to make home made butter 🧈
We’ve been making our own butter at home for a few months now, it’s super easy to do 🙌🏼
We usually use 1 x 300ml thicken cream tub, whip for in the butter churned for about 10-15 mins, rinse out the buttermilk and it’s done!
Even just using Aldi cream, it’s got a much more creamier flavour than store bought butter 😝
Here are some tips for successful butter making!
💥 Before you start churning, keep your cream on the kitchen bench for around 2 hours or until almost room temperature - this makes the churning process much faster! If you do it straight out of the fridge it can be a very slow process 😅
💥 Once the butter separates, drain off the buttermilk and store in an airtight container in the fridge. You can use the buttermilk for pancakes, baking or batter for fried chicken 😍
💥 Make sure you have a decent amount of ice on hand for washing the ‘washing the butter stage’ - if you don’t have ice cold water, the butter will start to melt in your hands which is quite messy 😩
