How To Make Instagram Account Private (Android & iOS)
20Learn how to make your Instagram account private. When your Instagram account is private, only people that follow you can see your profile. However, those who don't follow you won't be able to see your Instagram profile.
When your Instagram account is private, people already following you will continue following you but future followers have to send in requests.
You can still like and comment on any public Instagram post with your private account. You can also view any public profiles and follow people.
How To Make Instagram Account Private
Launch Instagram
Tap on the profile icon at the bottom right of the screen
Tap on the hamburger icon at the top right corner
Select Settings
Tap on Privacy
Tap on the slider icon next to Private Account to make the account private
