How to Take Apart Xbox Series X S Controller & Remove Covers (Fast Tutorial)
13To take apart your Xbox Series X|S controller and remove the covers, you can follow these steps:
Use a prying tool or a credit card to remove the side panels of the controller.
Remove the four security torx screws with a T8 or T9 security torx screwdriver or a flathead screwdriver.
Remove the battery compartment and the sticker to access the fifth screw.
Remove the back cover and unplug the black wires from the PCB.
Remove the plastic shell, the d-pad, the sticks, and the bumpers.
Remove the screws from the triggers and the rumble motors and free the wires from the clips.
Remove the screws from the first PCB and unplug it from the second PCB.
Remove the screws from the second PCB and the headphone jack.
Remove the rubber strip and the buttons.
To reassemble, reverse the steps and make sure the wires are routed properly and the parts are aligned correctly.
