How to Turn Off Closed Captions on ROKU TV (No Subtitles)

To turn off closed captions on a Roku TV:

From Settings Menu:
Press Home on your Roku remote.
Go to Settings - Accessibility (or Captions on older models).
Select Captions Mode - Off.

During Playback:
While watching, press the Star (*) button on your remote.
Select Closed Captioning or Captions - Off.
App-Specific:

For apps like Netflix or Hulu, check their settings:
Netflix: Press Down, select Audio & Subtitles, choose Off.
Prime Video: Press Up, select Subtitles, choose Off.
Notes:

If captions persist, check app-specific settings or restart Roku (Settings - System - System Restart).

Update Roku OS (Settings- System - System Update- Check Now).
If issues continue, factory reset (Settings- System - Advanced System Settings - Factory Reset), but this erases all data.
