For all people who want to store their gas efficiently:
The simple unlimited gas storage for Oxygen Not Included.

If set up correctly this can handle 4 continues streams of 1kg gas packages.
As you can see in the short video I only have 3 out of 4 running constantly.

The liquid per tile needs to be lower than 2kg otherwise it will overpressure the gas vents. But the sum of all 4 Tiles also needs to be below 2kg because the gad can push the water layer around. So you want less than 0.5kg per tile in this 4x4 room.

Pitfalls: You want enough water that it doesn't get destroyed by the displacing gas (more than 0.07 but I am sure on that one -more testing required-). If you want to store gases over 100°C or under 1°C you need to use another liquid. The material for the gas pumps needs to be able to withstand the expected heat of your desired input.
Don't store mixed gases in the same storage it can lead to liquid deletion or liquid overpressure. There is no gas overpressure in the game (at this time).
