There seems to be growing reports that Inxile's Next Game will be a Steampunk RPG and given it's being made by people who were heavily involved in Arcanum, I feel a spiritual successor to it might be exactly what this is.

Arcanum is certainly in my top 5 RPGs ever and another game in a similar setting is EXTREMELY enticing to me. I can only hope Inxile continue to expand on what worked with Wasteland 3 and if they can pull off something even better, I'll be extremely happy.

Inxile have had some bumps along the way but I'm hopeful they know their strengths now and are on the path to making consistently great game. Obviously Microsoft are calling the shots now but given Game Pass relies on bringing in a wide range of audiences, I can simply hope that isometric CRPGs are one of the niches they want to fill and hopefully it means they can continue to pump them out.

Arcanum 2 seemed like a pipe dream for a long time, this could be the closest we ever get so I'm excited!
