Iron Gwazi roller coaster construction at Busch Gardens Tampa is still moving full force. Workers are inspecting track and on the way to track completion hopefully at the end of February! Fingers crossed testing begins in March for Iron Gwazi, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's new park addition for 2020. The first turn's exit is the big news of this construction update, as well as a look at all the other elements on the ride since I haven't been to the park to see this beauty in almost 2 months!
Iron Gwazi has an insane 91-degree drop and is the tallest hyper hybrid roller coaster in the World! Built by RMC "Rocky Mountain Construction," it uses sections of the prior GWAZI structure, but is being transformed into a steel beast of a ride. It is one of the most anticipated attractions for 2020, along with many other roller coasters at all of Busch Gardens Tampa's sister parks: SeaWorld and Busch Williamsburg! Don't forget to write and tell them to bring free beer samples back!!
Tampa Theme Park Updates: Currently Sheikra is down for scheduled maintenance, and will reopen TOMORROW! January 18. Please note Scorpion is scheduled to be closed Jan 21- Feb 2, and the Cheetah Hunt coaster will be closed from February 3-February 14 for their rehab downtime.
