Just How Slow is iPhone 15 USB-C Port? iPhone 15 vs iPhone 15 Pro Max External USB-C SSD Speed Test
121In this iPhone 15 vs iPhone 15 Pro Max speed test copying writing and reading data to an external USB-C SSD drive for backing up and storing files. It's super clear that Apple's decision to implement USB 2 speeds of 480Mb/s 60MB/s to the USB-C interface port for its data bandwidth, is woefully inadequate on the iPhone 15.
Given that the iPhone 15 is a flagship smartphone, these USB speeds are completely unacceptable.
When comparing the iPhone 15 to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which has a 10Gb/s 1250MB/s USB-C data bandwidth. The difference in the speeds is shameful.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is 20x faster than the iPhone 15 when writing to its internal storage, which I believe is NVMe SSD storage for both phones. And the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 23 times faster than the iPhone 15 in the read speed test.
What do you think of these results for the iPhone 15 vs iPhone 15 Pro Max?
Do agree with the limitations that Apple have applied to the iPhone 15?
My opinion is that Apple have gone way too far in this cost cutting exorcise.
