KatanaKami is like a mix of Diablo & Nioh, it offers online co-op but sadly only random players. There is no friend invite menu as far as i know. I managed to push through basement floor 11 on my first try but was killed by an unexpected challenger (most of the players i met before was helping instead of challenging to a fight so i wasn't ready). At daytime you live as a merchant helping the blacksmith owner to settle his debts in exchange to help reclaim his daughter held hostage. When night comes, you go forth to the land of jikai through the tree portal to slay oni to get bounties and rare weapons. The dungeons of jikai are randomly generated so each playthrough will never be the same. There you'll met other online players who might help or challenge you instead. The deeper you go the harder the enemies and the better reward you'll get. You might even stumble upon a secret blacksmith in the land of oni's. At the end of each stage there are two portals for you to either leave to the surface world or descend even further. Your hero can hold up to 3 active weapons which you can switch anytime, but bear in mind once it breaks you'll need to have a similar pair in order to fix it. Other types of sword can only strengthen the weapon before it is broken. So make sure you level up your secondary and tertiary weapon as well. Once you decide to return to the surface the many bounties you hold can be used to buy loss insurances in order to decrease the risk of item loss if you die in jikai world, albeit very expensive. So try to play safe in your first & secondary journeys and come back to save some money before you go all out in those dungeons because you still need to help the blacksmith owner to pay his debts else you'll lose his beautiful daughter.
