01st July at Kenny Veach's Sheep Range. A place imbued with memory. Everytime I had driven past this range, I felt a very strong desire to go up, but for lack of vehicle. I feel a deep connection with this area that I do not feel on any other mountain range. I decided to walk the distances on foot. It was a very comfortable trek for me and the temperature at the range itself cool: I head up in AM and return in evening or very late afternoon to dodge the heat which varies according to elevation. On my other treks, I can simply move from shady cover to shady cover with quick sprints in the sun.
