Every class in Hearthstone has things that they’re generally associated with. Warlocks have demons, rogues have combo minions and mages possess highly efficient spells and quite a lot of elementals. Shamans are known for overload mechanics but not just that, for their hero power creates the true backbone of any of their decks: totems. There have been numerous totem minions released and all of them possess a certain synergy but while there’s been enough cards in standard to make a totems a minor part of your deck, we’ve never had enough to build something that allows you to have totems and totem synergy as the entire focus of your strategy. With Saviors of Uldum, however, that has changed.

A couple of very interesting totem related cards have been released in this expansion, allowing me at last, along with all the other totem cards in wild, to create a totally totemic travesty that focuses on filling the board with totems and then buffing them. The only spells in the deck either buff totems or create more totems and the minions? They’re totems, minions that get cheaper the more totems you play, totems, minions that get buffed by totems, totems, minions that buff totems and even more totems.

Yes, there are that many totems in this deck, but can a deck all about totems prevail or will it be set aside and alight by the burning power of the properly constructed creations my opponents play?
