LEGO Minecraft - The Dungeon - Unboxing, Speed Build & Review!
Hi LEGO fans! Today's LEGO Minecraft review is The Dungeon, set 21119 with 219 pieces. This Minecraft LEGO set is much smaller than the Mountain Cave reviewed a few weeks and I wanted to see if this would be good value. I was unfortunately disappointed!
In this LEGO Minecraft unboxing, speed build and review, I take a look at every aspect of the set including the three minifigures. We have a LEGO Steve and two identical LEGO Minecraft Zombie minifigures. These are nicely printed and fun but very generic and not a compelling reason to buy this LEGO Minecraft dungeon set.
The Dungeon play-set is blocky (just like Minecraft) but feels poorly designed, lacking interactive features and structural stability you would expect in a LEGO build aimed at younger LEGO Minecraft fans. The mob spawner is well-executed and there is a secret wall at the back of the dungeon so we can "spawn" Minecraft zombies, so it's not all bad but I think the LEGO designers could have done much better.
We don't get any rare or unusual LEGO elements in this Minecraft set but there is a nice LEGO chest with wheat and red-stone elements. Mining of course underpins the Minecraft world and we get a moss stone block element and a gold ore element.
The Dungeon sets this LEGO Minecraft scene in a desert biome and we get a bright orange plate and green cactus build to emphasize that as well as a small roof section constructed from sand-colored LEGO bricks.
LEGO does note on their website that the sand-colored roof section can be removed and added to bottom section to enlarge the playing area or rebuilt into a set of stairs for exiting the dungeon, but this is not explained in the instructions.
