To say that things aren’t going well for Foster is an understatement. His adopted family has been killed by the people who wrenched him from them, security forces from one of the massive cities that have been searching for him. Why have they sought him out and why now are they trying to kill him? Who is LINC and why is he wanted by this person alive and how have we a second helicopter crash, as unlikely as it is to be in two in one lifetime?

We’ll get answers to all of these questions in time, but right now it’s time to settle into the basics of any point and click adventure game: picking up everything that isn’t nailed down, finding a way to remove the nails in things that aren’t nailed town, asking everyone about everything and finding all the all the ways to perish.

It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at this game and while playing it again feels like putting on a comfortable pair of shoes, it also seems unfamiliar to me. It’ll be interesting to see what I notice now that I didn’t before as I return to this world older and possibly wiser.

Does this mean I’ll not get stuck on the puzzles? Of course not, don’t be silly.
