Let’s Replay Beneath a Steel Sky #04: This Place Sure is Eyrie
With the man hunting us gone, we’re a little safer than we were but we’re far from being out of the woods yet… if there are any woodlands left, that is. Escaping the recycling plan gets us one step closer to getting out of the city, but there are many more steps to go. We’re still trapped at the top of the Eyrie tower block and both the ways down are currently inaccessible, so our next goal is making one of those methods usable. As much as I’d like to think that Foster and Joey could move a crashed helicopter and repair the damaged walkway, that’d take far longer than we’d like, so let’s try to get the elevator working again.
We may be out of danger for the moment, but the game does a great job of making you feel on edge throughout by presenting situations where you might get discovered. There are still ways to die even in this lull but fortunately the methods are few to start with and easy to avoid if you think about the situation you’re in. Our journey will get far more perilous later on but fortunately that’s not now.
