Otherside: I wish I could explain what this game was about. I can tell you that it's not joking about eating your graphics card for lunch. I ended up having to town the graphics down to "simple" in order to stop it melting my card. That said, the game wouldn't load the second screen so... I didn't get an opportunity to see what it was all about.
Dawndusk Dream Sewer: What happens when someone gets the opportunity to lean as hard as they can into a fever dream and also has a tape recorder handy? Probably this game. There was definitely a whole tone and message that it was pushing, but it felt... so pretentious and just... out there.
Starfighter R&D: Now this is a game with potential. I like all of the core mechanics: Roguelite loop with the ability to level up your equipment; upgrading a town in order to unlock more equipment opportunities, combat run modifiers, and even a MEGABOSS! There's a lot of potential with this game. It's biggest issue is that it doesn't take anything far enough. the city building is too simple, the equipment isn't compelling enough to try different builds, and the enemies don't have enough variance to make you want to try different techniques. These are all things that could be pushed further and really make a great game out of it. Starfighter R&D's got good bones.
