Ghouls 'n Ghosts is a console port of the arcade game. It is easier than most of the Ghosts 'n Goblins games I've played, but it doesn't make it any less challenging. The graphics are pretty good for an early Genesis game, and the sound effects aren't too bad. The music is pretty good though. My biggest complaint would be the controls, but they aren't completely flawed. Much like the other Ghosts 'n Goblins games, the difficulty comes from level design and the controls. The jumping is not bad, but they clearly improved upon it in Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the SNES with the double jump; in fact I think most of my issues with the controls are addressed with the SNES version of the game. It's still fun to play and not too punishing, so I definitely recommend it to any Ghosts 'n Goblins fan and any Genesis collector/fan.
