Lowest Possible Level Challenge | Bravely Default II | 100% Hard Mode | 1
5The title says it all and I talk about it within the first few minutes. I think Bravely jobs and mechanics make you quite powerful, so I am pretty confident this is a very doable challenge and one I wanted to go through to have some more fun with BD II.
I'll be attempting to get 100%, so all log book entires, all item drops and thefts, all chests, at least 1 of every obtainable item which I guess means all log book entries, etc. All while never gaining a single level on a single character.
Just to go over the details here in written form. I am calling this the LPL challenge or Lowest Possible Level. Seth / MC starts at level 1, Elvis 3, Gloria 4, and Adelle 5. Elvis, Gloria and Adelle gain a little bit of experience, never enough to gain a level but all 3 partner characters join during fights you can not skip so they gain the experience from said fight. With this being the case, I don't feel right calling the challenge No EXP...because technically that's impossible.
After I obtain a character, they wear the item that prevents any EXP gain, thus 1 previous Accessory slot is used up. I think getting through the core game is very doable, so to spice things up, I want to 100% the game with all enemy drops and steals. This means I will have to overcome all Job enhancement battles, all extra powerful enemy battles, and all chest "mimics." As well as all side quests and their additional boss battles.
Three other rules I am utilizing. No online functionality to get free items. I will not use any carry over items that I could not get rid of (this is due to how the item carry over works for NG+,) and lastly, I will not use any stat boosters at all. This games stat boosters provide +3 to any stat, and are infinitely farm-able, thus they very easily defeat the purpose of a low level challenge in my opinion since you can just spend some hours farming them. So I don't use them, because why even bother if you do?
Again, not sure if this is possible to actually achieve beating everything at the lowest possible level, but I will take the challenge as far as I can. I have done essentially zero planning in advance, so should be fun.
Another thing just to save me a little bit of time. I decided to import 100% of all B n D cards due to sheer laziness. I'm more interested in overcoming the games challenges via the rpg aspects. B n D I played thoroughly during my first play through which you can watch all of it on youtube here. It's a cool card game and all but I'm just too lazy to do it again, which would take probably like an extra 2 or 3 hours all told so ya know. Whatever.
I also sell my entire inventory, and then buy and sell continuously at the very start to get rid of my money so I start with the starting amount. (well I was 1 Pg over, what can you do.)
