Other criticisms include the cast, which doesn't include that many new characters, instead most of them have been from the previous game. A major problem was the absence of X-Men characters -the reason for this was because of issues with the X-Men licence and 20th Century Fox, but Capcom's bizarre reasoning left most fans fuming. These factors led to the game under-performing sales wise, and the game got discounted pretty quickly.
