Demonstration of a ZX Advent run using Grey. This was made with RTA strats in mind though there are some things which could be considered borderline not viable for RTA. Some stage times aren't completely optimal as this is meant to show how to run the game in an RTA setting.

Originally I wasn't planning on making a Grey route since the differences between him and Ashe are very small that I felt like a full video wasn't necessary. Though in the end it turned out there is more than I originally thought but both play about 80% identically with the main differences being boss strategies, slightly different stage strats and intro stage (Ashe's is faster by 13 seconds btw). It may not be immediately obvious but there is enough differences to justify separate categories for them.

Grey has an easier time early game due to having a stronger charge shot and relies less on Model F for some bosses but struggles a bit later on due to how weak Aile's down slash is compared to Vent's up slash making it worthless for combos other than throwing it in as a joke. Overall due to Model A combos being easier to execute over Model F and having a few massive advantages with early game bosses (Chronoforce is the big one) Grey is the easier of the two to pick up.

I included a thing that shows how much HP the bosses have in numerical form in the top right during fights. It also shows how much HP the minibosses have as well since the HP for them is normally not visible.

I want to make a quick note that this game is timed using Game Time since it functions as a frame counter essentially making it possible to compare console and emulator times due to lag differences. With this route you can reasonably get sub 1 hour. If you really want a good run though I'd say a 54-57 is reasonable to obtain.

Another thing is this is most likely the last route I'm going to work on for MMZ/ZX. Originally Z3 100% was going to be the last but I decided to work on this as well when talking with some ZX boys about ZXA stuff and also not doing any% Grey felt like unfinished business. Starting to feel burnt out working on these games and want to move onto other things. I'm more than satisfied with what I worked on and really happy to see people making good use of these videos. So with that said thanks to anyone who's been watching these over the years and making use of them for learning purposes! Looking forward to seeing how people will improve these games from here on out.
